The FCI or the Food corporation of India is an important body for ensuring food security in India. The FCI ensures that the food reached to each and every part of the country .
First the FCI collects food from the farmers from the states having a surplus grain production. Then they give this grain in ration shops or fair price shops so that the poor people could get food at an affordable cost.
