• Archduke Francis Ferdinand , the heir to the throne of Austria Hungary was assassinated at SARAJEVO , the capital of Bosnia.

• The assassination was held on June, 1914

• The assassination was organised by a member of the society called Black Hand or " Union of Death "

• It was formed by extremist Serbian nationalists whose aim was to unite Serbia.

• This led to the War.
