Answer:

Limitations of dimensional method. Although dimensional analysis is very useful, it cannot lead us too far because of the following reasons: Dimensional method cannot be used to derive equations involving addition and substraction. Numerical constants having no dimensions cannot be obtained by method of dimensions.

Q. Mention the limitations of method of Dimensional analysis.

Explanation:-

\huge\mathfrak\red{</strong><strong>D</strong><strong>i</strong><strong>m</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>n</strong><strong>s</strong><strong>i</strong><strong>o</strong><strong>n</strong><strong>a</strong><strong>l</strong><strong> </strong><strong>Analysis</strong><strong>}

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Limitations of Dimensional analysis are:-

1) The method does not give any information about dimension less quantity K.

2)It fails when a physical quantity depends on more than three physical quantity.

3)It fails when a physical quantity is the sum or difference of two or more quantities.

ex =  &gt; s = ut +   \frac{1}{2}  a {t}^{2}

4) It also fails to derive the relationship which involves trignometric , logarithmic or exponential functions.

5) It is difficult to identify the factors on which the physical quantity depends. The method becomes more complicated when dimensional constant like G, h is envolved.
