In the first two stanzas the wind is said to be an evil natural resource that destroys everything from our homes to our hearts. But in the last stanza, it is said that if we make ourselves enough strong to withstand with wind, we could befriend wind otherwise we will be blown away.
The message conveyed by the poem is that we could only withstand the wind if we make ourselves strong and firm.
