Mention the method used for the separating the following mixtures:
(A) Sand,camphor and iron-fillings.
(B) Iron-fillings, sand and salt.
(C) Sand, dal and husk
(D) Sand, sugar and iron-fillings.​

The methods used for the separating the following mixtures:

a) Sand, camphor and iron-fillings.

The methods used to separate the mixtures are :-

Iron-fillings: Iron-fillings can be separated from the mixture of sand, camphor and Iron-fillings by magnetic seperation.

Camphor: Camphor can easily separated by sublimation, from the left mixture of sand and camphor.

Sand: After camphor is sublimated, the sand particles in the mixture, doesn't sublime and left behind.

Note: While sublimation, the place where, it is sublimated, should be taken with the proper laboratory preparations, because while sublimation if it is not properly covered, then the thing which is going to sublime, will mix on the atmosphere.

b) Iron-fillings, sand and salt

The methods used to separate the mixtures are :-

Iron-fillings: Iron-fillings can be separated from the mixture of sand, salt and Iron-fillings by magnetic seperation.

Sand: If we put water on the left mixture of sand and salt, then, we will able to separate the mixture by process of decantation, as salt is soluble in water.

Salt and water: The mixture can be separated by the process of evaporation.

c) Sand, dal and husk

The method used to separate the mixtures is :-

The mixture can be easily separated by the process of sieving.

d) Sand, sugar and iron-fillings.

The methods used to separate the mixtures are :-

Iron-fillings: Iron-fillings can be separated from the mixture of sand, sugar and Iron-fillings by magnetic seperation.

Sand: If we put water on the left mixture of sand and sugar, then, we will able to separate the mixture by process of decantation, as the sugar will dissolve in water.

Sugar and water: The mixture can be separated by the process of evaporation.
