2. It is so named because of the presence of 'Sundari' Trees.
3. Mangrove Forests cover 0.14% of India's Total Geographical Area.
4. It is found in Coastal Delta  areas –in wet marshy soil.
5. Roots of these trees are  submerged in water.
6. They provide durable  hard timber.
7. Major Animals found here are Royal Bengal Tiger, Crocodiles and Snakes.
