Toothpaste is alkaline in nature. The action of bacteria occurs in acidic medium in the mouth and hence toothpaste neutralises the acid and doesn't allow tooth decay to occur.
Brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste. Clean between your teeth daily with floss or interdental cleaner. Eat nutritious and balanced meals and limit snacking.

Tootpaste are basic in nature they prevent the tooth decay by increasing the ph value of mouth which becomes 5.8 after eating,this much of ph value can slowly led to tooth decay . So, we use toothpastes to bring that ph value greater than 7
