Reasons-
- The factor which led to the war was objections of Siraj-ud-daula(nawab of bengal)- 1. misuse of 'Dastak' by Employees of EIC. 2. additional fortification at city of Calcutta.
- In June 1756 , Siraj attacked on EIC at Calcutta and ceased the factory of Kasimbazar. Company fled and took shelter at Fulta.
- Siraj thought he won and didn't chase them.
- Then EIC got help from Madras where Robert Clive was posted, troops were sent from there under leadership of Robert Clive.
- And on 23rd June 1756 battle was fought b/w Siraj and EIC.
- EIC won the battle with the help of Conspiracy done by Robert Clive.
