The role of chlorophyll in photosynthesis is vital. Chlorophyll, which resides in the chloroplasts of plants, is the green pigment that is necessary in order for plants to convert carbon dioxide and water, using sunlight, into oxygen and glucose. During photosynthesis, chlorophyll captures the sun’s rays and creates sugary carbohydrates or energy, which allows the plant to grow.

Answer:

Heya mate☺❤✌

Explanation:

Chlorophyll is the green colouring matter found in plants. It is contained in microscopic cell organelles called chloroplast.

However, the formation of chlorophyll itself depends on the exposure of plant to the sunlight.

Chlorophyll absorb light at both ends of the visible spectrum i.e BLUE and RED light and reflect away the green light. Thus it helps in the process of photosynthesis ,by which the plants can prepare their own food.

Hope it helps
