Steps taken by the government to protect flora and Fauna are as follows :-

1. The wildlife protection Act was passed in the year 1972 in India.

2.Government of India set up the 14 biosphere reserves ,national parks and Santuries to protect Flora and Fauna.

3.The Government of India put the ban on hunting and gathering in forest or Santuries.

4.The Government of India prepared a Red data Book in which they kept the knowledge about the species of flora and fauna and launches many programs to save them.

5. Like, The program launched for saving 'Tigers'.
