1. The local government have to look after various aspects of the city life.

2. They have to take care of the supply of water and electricity , public health and education, public works, such as maintenance of road, construction of public urinals, maintenance of zoos and entertainment park, registration of births and deaths , organisation of fairs and exhibitions and undertaking the activities for the promotion of sports .

3. They have to take care of public property like schools, restaurants ,parks ,hospitals and other forms of entertainment and recreation.
