There are three political institution in India:
1.Legislature
2.Executive
3.Judiciary
1. Legislature:- In all democracies an assembly of elected representatives exercises supreme political authority on behalf of the people. In India such a national assembly of elected representatives is called parliament. At the state level it is called Legislature or Legislative Assembly.
2. Executive:- At different levels of any government we find functionaries who take day to day decision but do not exercise supreme power on behalf of the peoples.All those functionaries collectively known as the Executive.
3. Judiciary:- All the courts at the different levels in a country put together are called the Judiciary.
