Mention the type of tissue seen in the onion root tip. What is it’s function? Please answer. Tomorrow board exam :(

An onion root tip is a rapidly growing part of the onion and thus many cells will be in different stages of mitosis. The onion root tips can be prepared and squashed in a way that allows them to be flattened on a microscopic slide, so that the chromosomes of individual cells can be observed easily.

There are four main types of tissue: muscle, epithelial, connective and nervous. Each is made of specialized cells that are grouped together according to structure and function. Muscle is found throughout the body and even includes organs such as the heart. Our outer layer of skin is epithelial tissue

Apical meristem can be found at the growth region of the plant. Apical meristem is the one of the tree types of the meristem tissue is found. Apical meristem is a continuously divides the tissues in the plant.

As the apical meristem is found at the root tip of the plant so it helps the root to create a signal around the soil to find water and nutrient and drive the root towards water and nutrients.
