The two main types of families are:
a. Nuclear Family: this is the most modern type of family comprising of a husband and a wife and their children. This type of family is small but children are raised properly as they receive the love and affection of both the parents and generally do not have to go through any financial crisis.
b. Joint family: In this type of family, the husband and wife are joined by their parents. The children can stay with their parents as well as grandparents and can grow up amidst the love and care of their elders. This type of family may also comprise of other brothers and sisters of the couple and their families as well.
