There are two types of movements in plants.

  1. Tropic Movement - They are the directional movement or growth movement of plant part in response to stimuli. Example - Stem moves towards the sunlight (Phototropism)
  2. Nastic movement - They are the non-directional movement of plant part in response to stimulus. Example - Touch-me-not closes its leaves when anyone touch it (Thigmonastic)
