Glucose is a 6 carbon molecule that breaks into pyruvate ( a 3 carbon molecule).
Glucose can be broken down by three pathways.
1) In the absence of oxygen in Yeast
2) In the lack of oxygen in muscles.
3) In the presence of oxygen in mitochondria.
