There are certain restrictions imposed on the political parties during elections : 

(a) No emotional appeal on religion-Voters cannot be sought by appeal to religious sentiments.

(b) No bribe --No party can bribe or threaten the voters. In the above case election commission can disqualify the political parties.

(c) Details of Expense to be Submitted --Retum showing details of income and expenses incurred in connection with the election campaign have to be submitted to the election commission.

(d) No political party can use government resources for election campaign.
