The period of 8 to 18th century was the time which brought changes in the life of people as Social ,political and religious . It was a period of intwrmixing of cultures because of people of foreign countries like the turks , the Afghans , the Mongols and the Meghalaya came to India and established their dynasties. This led to mark variation in social structures of the society :

1) Mainly the whole society was divided into four groups : a) aristrocrat b) Priest c) the town people d) the peasants

2) Changes occurred in caste system in India

-declined superiority of Brahmins

-Restrictions regarding social habits

-changes in caste structure

-change in caste status

3)Caste system based society and tribal people came into close contact with each other with the passage of time . Many tribes merged with caste based society .
