It helps in movement to reach the oviducts. All the usual cell components are present in the sperm.the sperms are motile becuz of long tail...

The sperm needs to reach the fallopian tubes for the process of fertilisation. For that purpose, it needs long tail to help it to flow easily. Another function is that it provides the sperm with the required energy.
