Answer: Two factors causing evolution are 1) Natural selection and 2) Mutation.

Evolution is a gradual change in the characteristics of the organisms over a period of many generations.

According to the natural selection, organisms that are better adapted to their environmental conditions survive and increase their population through reproduction. It is a process that eventually leads to evolution as advantageous traits are selected and non advantageous traits are eliminated from the population.

Similarly, mutation ( permanent change in the genetic material of the organisms) is another factor that also causes evolution as change in the genetic material eventually leads to the change i the characteristics of the organisms.
