1) Tearing of paper - Tearing of paper is a physical change as it doesn't affect the chemical composition of the paper but it causes change in its shape and size. And also, it is an irreversible change as we cannot get the big piece of paper back or join the pieces to make it the original paper again.

 2) Carving statue out of wood - Wood carving is an irreversible physical change. When a statue is carved out of wood, the physical properties of the wood i.e. -shape, size etc. change but its chemical composition remains the same. It has the same chemical properties as it had earlier. But it is an irreversible change because we cannot get the original piece of wood again. The change cannot be reversed.

Answer:1.When a raw egg is cracked open it does not change the egg into a new substance.Hence this is an example of physical change.

2. Cutting of woods, we all know that cutting of a wood into to half or more than 2 pieces will give same material i.e., wood but we can't reverse this process again to get whole wood.
