hey mate here is ur answer ....... simple distillation , fractional distillation is best for separating a solution of two miscible liquids . ( Miscible liquids are liquids that dissolve in each other ) . The Fractional method takes advantage of the different boiling points of the two liquids . To separate insoluble impurities from salt , you used a process called filtration . The filter paper allowed the soluble solute ( salt ) and the solvent ( water ) to pass through , but it trapped the larger pied of insoluble impurities as a residue .
