Mention two reasons for separation between religion and state

Within religious groups, there is always the chance of one group being in minority. If this majority religious group has access to State power, then it could easily use this power and financial resources to discriminate against and persecute persons of other religions.
2} We also need to protect the freedom of individuals to exit from their religion or have the freedom to interpret religious teachings differently.

Mention the two reasons by the separation between religion and the state is important.

1. To stop domination of one religious community over other.
2. The majority could quite easily prevent minorities from practising their religions.
