FACT : 29 SUBJECTS WHICH WERE EARLIER IN THE STATE LIST ARE IDENTIFIED AND LISTED IN THE ELEVENTH SCHEDULE OF THE INDIAN CONSTITUTION. THE SUBJECTS ARE TO BE TRANSFERRED TO THE PANCHAYATI RAJ INSTITUTIONS. THESE SUBJECTS WERE MOSTLY LINKED TO THE DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE FUNCTIONS ARE THE LOCAL LEVEL. ACTUAL TRANSFER OF THESE SUBJECTS DEPENDS UPON THE STATE LEGISLATION, IIT STATE DECIDES HOW MANY OF THESE 29 SUBJECTS WOULD BE TRANSFERRED TO THE LOCAL BODIES.
