Hey dear,

● Compressibility -

- It is a measure of the relative volume change of a fluid or solid as a response to a pressure change.

● Examples-

There are various applications of compressibility in our daytoday life-

- LPG gas is compressed in the cylinder so as to save the storage.

- Storage of ice creams is based on priciple of compressibility.

- In hydraulic machines, liquids are compressed to get enough force.

- Shaving cream is compressed in the tube so it comes out as foam.

- Gases are compressed to come out vigorously in fire extinguisher.

Hope it helps...

"Compressibility is nothing but the ability of the system (say solid or liquid or gas) to compress by its volume by applying pressure is called compressibility factor. In day today, life the compressibility factor works in many ways.

Examples

  1. The gas cylinders we are using. The gases are compressed by pressure in the cylinders
  2. The shaving cream in the tube. So, it comes out as a foam with pressure
  3. In the deodorant spray the gas is compressed and it comes out with pressure
  4. The fresh cream which is used for decorative purpose in the soups
  5. If we pull down a balloon in the water tank due to its compressibility in air it shrinks under pressure."
