Merchant Of Venice (Act 3 Scene 5) How does Launcelot suddenly come to Belmont at Portia's home ?

I think it is because when bassanio was going to belmont with gratiano then launcelot might have accompanied them that time....but when bassanio and gratiano left belmont for venice then launcelot might have stayed back with lorenzo and jessica.....
