Answer1). This scene is act 4 scene 1 where these words are addressed to Bassanio . when portia asks Antonio that if he has anything to say so Antonio respond with the words yes but little.
Answer2).Antonio means that do not feel sad over the fact that i am failing a victim to this misfortune for your sake for in this instance fortune is treating me more kindly than she usually does to men.
Answer3).Antonio instructs Bassanio to give his hand.
Answer4).Bassanio responses that
"Antonio, I am married to a wife whom I value as highly as i do my own life,my wife, and all the world are not of greater value in my eyes than is your life. I would lose them all, sacrifice every one of them,in order to deliver you to this devil(the jew).
Answer5).Antonio tells this speech in the court of justice in VENIECE. the Duke appeal to Shylock to show mercy to Antonio is contemptuosly turned down by Shylock. And when Portia as a lawyer was making the conversations between Shylock and Antonio so Portia asked Antonio that if he is ready to give his flesh so in the context Antonio said this speech.
This speech reveals about Antonio attitude to life and death that Antonio endures unbearable energy of mind patiently. He asks Bassanio not to persude Shylock to change his mind. He is ready to accept the verdict of the court. He tells the Duke to pronounce his judgement. His attitude towards possible death in the trial scene shows his stoicism.
In short Antonio is a noble, generous, genial and stoic character.
