Mercury (density =13.5 gm/cc) is poured into a U-tube of uniform

cross section. Level of mercury in each limb is 70.2 cm from the upper

end of the tube. How much will the mercury rise in the right hand limb

if the left hand limb is filled to the top with water (density =1 gm/cc)?
