mercury weighs more than water .would you except the pressure exerted by water to be greater or less than the pressure exerted by the same amount of mercury ?

Since mercury is more viscious than water and it has much more density than water so it weight more than water therefore ir weight much

its all due to density mercury has more density than water so obviously mercury exerts more pressure than water
