that means that

if a person has A blood group he could be either   Ia Ia    or    Ia Io.

if a person has B blood group he could be either   Ib Ib    or    Ib Io.

if a person has AB blood group he could be  Ia Ib    only.

if a person has O blood group he could be  Io Io    only.

this is the concept of blood grouping.
