merging cell and spilting cell

to merge two or more cells and make them into one cell
=> select the cells you want to merge
=> home tab-alignment group
=. from the merge and center drop down box select any merge option like merge cell, merge & center etc.
To split cells in excel
=> Data tab- data tools group, Click on Text to column
=> A wizard will appear
=> select delimiters like space, tab, comma etc to separate the cells
=> click on next
=> In the Column data format area, select the data format for the new columns
=> click on finish
Merging cells:
1) Select the cells you want to merge.
2) Click in Layout tab.
3) Click on Merge cells option.
4) Click on the data then the cells gets combined in one cell.
Splitting cells:
1) Click on the cell you want to multiple/split.
2) Click on Layout tab.
3) Click on Split cells option.
4) The split cells dialog box appears.
5) Choose the number of rows and columns you want to split.
6) Finally, click on OK option.
