Meristematic cells have a prominent nucleus and dense cytoplasm but they lack vacuoles.Why?

there are no vacuoles because the main function of the merismatic cell is off growth so there is no food material or waste generated so they don't have vacuoles as we have studied that vocuoles coantain food and waste material

Meristematic cells lack vacuoles because they are meant for di ision and growth of the plant. That is why they lack vacuoles which have storage functions. There is no point of storage of food in a cell which has to divide.
