2) Democracy is based on consultation and discussion thus more people can argue and improve the quality of decision making.

3) Democracy provides a method to deal with differences and conflicts.

4) Democracy ehances the dignity of citizens.

5) It allows us to correct its own mistakes.

Demerits :

1) leaders keep changing in Democracy which leads to instability.

2) Democracy is all about political competition and power play. There is no scope for morality.

3) so many people are involved in Democracy that it leads to delays.

4) Elected leaders do not know the best interests of the people which leada to bad decisions

5) democracy leads to corruption for it is based on electoral competition.

6) ordinary people don't know what is good for them ; they shouldn't decide anything
