• Illiteracy and politically unconscious voters.
• Political power play.
• Delay in decision making.

Universal adult franchise is guaranteed..
Citizens rights were guaranteed...
Government has to function as per the constitution..
One person,one vote,one value should be followed..

Demerits:
Candidates play dirty tricks to win election..
Decisions are delayed because many people have to be consulted..
So long policies cannot be implemented ..
Moreover many people have the skill to participate in decisions making process...
