What is indus water treaty?
The Indus water treaty is a treaty signed between India and Pakistan. According to this treaty, the 'three eastern rivers of India' were given to India, whereas the three western rivers of India was given to Pakistan.
Advantages
•The only advantage is that these rivers can flood their banks making their land fertile.
Disadvantages
•There are more disadvantages rather than advantages as Pakistan is fully depended on these rivers for irrigation and water supply.
•In case, they can face drought like situations, if the rivers get dry.
