The merits and demerits of three language formula are as follows:

a) Importance of the society and language. Students are able to select a combination of Hindi, regional and foreign language

b) Children can learn their native language and are proud of it

c) Third language should be an Indian language.

Demerits:

a) Students have to face increased burden of subjects because of the three language formula.

b) In some areas, students are forced to learn Sanskrit.
