if merits means the end products, then
the merits of anaerobic respiration are carbondioxide, alcholol and water
anaerobic respiration takes place when there is insufficient supply of oxygen, Thank u mine as the brailiest
and the demerits of anaerobic respiration are
1) our body can also turn toward following anaerobic respiration .
as co2 is one of the product , co2 gets blocked in the muscles resulting in cramps which are very painful.
2) this reaction produces very little amount of energy
the common merit is
1) it is a very fast reaction

MERITS:
1.)It helps the survival of the organisms in the absence of oxygen
2.) It's process is fast and the ATP production is fast though its amount is small
3.) I t is because of anaerobic respiration that made life possible ,they are the pioneer's of life , we actually say they are our ancestors. With out the anaerobic respiration we wouldn't have been here asking questions and answering them
DEMERITS:
1.)Lactic acid would build up in the organism which is of course toxic and dangerous for the survival of the organism
2.)Muscle fatigue is more likely due to the anaerobic respiration and accumulation of lactic acid
3.) The amount of ATP produced is less than that of aerobic respiration
