A letter to God showed us Lencho's firm faith in god . At the time when his crops were destroyed he thought God will come and help him from this disaster. Because of this faith he asked the money from God, believing that God would send him the money and save him.
The other message which can be pointed out is the nature of the post-officer. He helped him in disguise. And he proved that humanity still exists.
The last message which can be noted is about Lencho's reaction towards the Post office employees. Without finding out the truth he accused the officers for stealing his money, and referred them as a 'bunch of crooks'.
