The chapter gives us some important messages.Nelson Mandela tells us that courage is not the absence of fear but triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid , but he who conquers that fear. Nelson Mandela thinks love is natural. It comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite (hate). Mandela mentions two obligations for a man. He says every man has two obligations- obligations to his family, to his parents, to his wife and children ;and he has an obligation to his people, his community and his country. We do not discriminate anyone on the basis of caste, colour , gender etc.

Hope it helps!!!
