 \mathfrak{\huge{\green{\boxed{\boxed{ Solution \::- }}}}}

Metal + Acid -----> Salt + Hydrogen gas.

Here, a metal reacts with an acid to produce its salt and Hydrogen gas is evolved .

This salt can be acidic , basic or neutral, depending on the reactivity of the metal and acid .

Note that Noble Metals such as Gold, Silver etc do not generally react with acids .

  •  Cu + 2HCl  \overset{\Delta}{\longrightarrow} CuCl_{2} + H_{2}

Here, the metal, copper reacts with Hydrochloric acid to give the salt CuCl_{2} and Hydrogen gas is evolved.

Other Examples Are :

  •  2Na + H_{2} SO_{4} \overset{\Delta}{\longrightarrow} Na_{2} SO_{4} + H_{2}

  •  Fe + 2HCl \overset{\Delta}{\longrightarrow} FeCl_{2} + H_{2}
