Let there is 100gm of metal chloride.

Then cl will be 71 gm and metal 29gm.

Now the equilant weight of cl is 35.5

so the eqilant weight of metal will be 14.5 gm.

and equvilant weigh of Br is 80

therefore

total equvilant weigh of MBr is 14.5+80=94.5gm

Answer:

94.5gm

Explanation:

GIVEN- Metal chloride contains 71% chlorine

FIND- equivalent weight of that metal bromide

SOLUTION- Let there is 100gm of metal chloride.

Then cl will be 71 gm and metal 29gm

.Now the equivalent weight of cl is 35.5

so the equivalent weight of metal will be 14.5gm

.and equivalent weigh of Br is 80

therefore equivalent weight of MBr is 14.5+80=94.5gm `

FINAL ANSWER- 94.5gm
