Answer:

hey mate you should prefer your book again as metal+water gives or prepares base

Explanation:

Metal + water-> base+H2

Therefore whenever any reaction of metal with water took place it gives base+H2

so Na+H2o->Naoh(base)+H2

another reaction for this types of equations is

Mg+H2o->Mg(oh2)+H2

Hope it helps. mark it brainliest

Answer:

metal + h2o -> metalic oxide that is basic in nature + h2

Explanation:

when naoh reacts with water it forms basic oxide which is naoh.

a concentrated soln of sodium oxide in water will have ph 14

na2o + h2o=> naoh

na2o readily dissoves in wate to form naoh, and so it is actually anhydride of latter. its chemically very similar to its hydrate, naoh, which is typical alkali.

hope it helps uh
