metal replace hydrogen from dilute acid where as non metal don't know why

as metals are electro positive at some extent like hydrogen so they replace hydrogen from acids and form neutral salts....

Metal displace hydrogen whereas non metals not because metals are highly reactive than hydrogen and displaces it from dilute acid but non metals are less reactive than hydrogen so it cannot did so
