Metal spheres, each of radius 2 cm, are packed into a rectangular box of internal
dimensions 16 cm × 8 cm × 8 cm. When 16 spheres are packed the box is filled
with preservative liquid. Find the volume of this liquid. Give your answer to the

nearest integer.

we have,

radius of sphere= 2cm

and dimensions are = 16×8×8

now,

volume of 16 sphere=16πr^3

=16×3.14×2×2×2

=401.92

volume of cubiod= LBH

=16×8×8

=1024

now,

volume of water in cubiod=1024-401.92

=622.08
