Converting sulphide ore into metal by the presence of excess air is called roasting.

So the equation is

2zns + 3o2 = 2zno + 2so2

Later zinc oxide is converted into zinc and carbon monoxide by adding carbon in presence of heat

Zno + c = zn + co
