Mass of one atom of copper =Avogadro’s numberMolar mass of copper=6.023×102363.5=1.054×10−22 g

Mass of the unit cell =4×1.054×10−22 g

Volume of the unit cell =DensityMass of copper=8.954×1.054×10−22=4.71×10−23 cm3

Volume of unit cell =88r3

Hence, r3=884.71×10−23=2.07×10−24 cm3

Hence, the radius of copper atom is 1.28×10−8 cm.
