Given information :

A metallic sphere of radius 3 cm is melted and recast into a cylinder of radius 6cm.

During this , the Volume is same.

Therefore , The volume of sphere = Volume of Cylinder.

Volume of sphere :

4 /3 \pi {r}^{3}
where, r =radius of the sphere.

Volume of cylinder :
\pi {r}^{2} h
where, r = radius of cylinder and h = height of the cylinder

As volume of the sphere is equal to the volume of the cylinder .
4/3\pi {r}^{3} = \pi {r}^{2} h

radius of sphere=3cm and radius of cylinder=6cm

4/3 \: \pi \times {3}^{3} = \pi \times {6}^{2} \times h

4/3×27 = 36 × h

4×9 = 36 × h

36 = 36 ×h

h = 36/36

h= 1cm
