According to the reactivity series of metals Magnesium iron and aluminium cones above hydrogen that means they are more reactive than hydrogen but copper comes under hydrogen i.e. it is less reactive than hydrogen hence, copper is not able to replace hydrogen from dilute hydrochloric acid.

Less reactive metals like Copper ,silver , and gold do not react with acids and

non metals also do not react with dilute acid like coal and sulphur.
