Question :

Metals like Na and k are stored under oil. Give reason

Answer :

Metals like Na(Sodium) and k(Potassium) are stored under oil because metals like sodium and potassium are highly reactive metals. When these are removed from oil they react with air. While they react with air they catches the fire which can cause a burst. According to the reactive series sodium and potassium are the top most reactive metals.
