5 {x}^{2}  - 14x - 3 = 0 \\ 5 {x}^{2} -  14x = 3 \\  {x}^{2}  -  \frac{14}{5} x =  \frac{3}{5}  \\   {x}^{2}  - 2 \times  \frac{7}{5} x +  \frac{49}{25}  =  \frac{3}{5}  +  \frac{49}{25}   \\   {(x  -  \frac{7}{5}) }^{2}  =  \frac{15 + 49}{25}   \\ x -  \frac{7}{5}  =  +  -  \sqrt{ \frac{64}{25} }  \\ x =  \frac{7}{5 }   +  -  \frac{8}{5}  \\ x = 3 \: and \:  -  \frac{1}{5}
